why1Having seen all there is to see in managed health care operations, we know that more often than not compassion has been overtaken by the bottom line. The KLM Network of care facilities provides people faced with the immediate need to make a decision about what to do when suddenly a love one is discharged from a hospital, of what their options are. KLM is the place to turn to for assistance. Not only do you have experienced and knowledgeable people to talk to about your particular needs, but you have an objective third party that has identified the finest facilities available accompanied with a keen knowledge about each and every one of the beautiful homes in the network.

Larry Morrissey has a keen eye for problem identification and creating appropriate solutions to address the issues identified.  It is a talent that for many years, both individuals and corporate America have relied on, both in times of great prosperity and indecision.  To this day, many that he has mentored along their path will call when a problem arises in their life which requires guidance.   Over the years, his solutions have both inspired and propelled others including corporations to create, renew and flourish.

He choose to  come out of retirement when he saw a clear need for helping people in need of taking care of loved ones. Not only did he feel there was a way he could give back, but most importantly be the first to establish professional standards of board and care homes in the Coachella Valley. He saw a way to make a difficult moment for families faced with immediate health care issues, more informed, cost effective compassionate and personalized.

Karen Morrissey level of professionalism is matched by her ethical standards and compassion for humanity.  So, when her husband spoke to her of the need for a specialized network of board and care homes, credentialed to the standards which they were accustomed to in the healthcare industry,  she was only to happy to partner with him to accomplish their goal – a premier network of board and care facilities.

Most importantly, she sees the network as a much needed service for the community and is pleased to bring her professional strengths and personal interests together to help, people at difficult moments in life.

In the spirit of giving, both Larry and Karen have long pursued philanthropic interests.

Their charitable endeavors include serving as Honorary and Silent Auction Chairpersons of both dinner and gala events, as well as Committee members of a capital development campaign, and numerous charitable dinners and events.  This includes the recognition of Karen as a National Recipient of Family Circle Magazine 7th Annual Halo Award for Woman Who Make A Difference, January 2005.  Additionally, she has received numerous media features and recognition for her achievements.
